Description


Once a charitable institution established in the early 900s, this villa was the summer home of the Baroni family. It was originally called villa Tilde, taking the name of the owner’s wife. It was later sold to the Onorevole Cavazzoni family, founder of a current political party. In late 1972, it was bought by my father, Bonifacio Gilardoni, a native of Bellagio, whit the idea to renovate. On the round floor, restaurant and pizzeria “LA TORRETTA” was opened, decorated entirely in wood. Currently, we have decided to open a new family business above the restaurant, “ALLA TORRETTA BED & BREAKFAST”. The style and atmosphere of alla torretta has inspired various artists who have included it in their work. For example, the American write Gary Hart notes in his book “ Le strategie di Zeus” describing it as a place from another time, another world. We offer our guest the opportunity to stay in this unique surrounding from another period, which includes a garden for both parking ond sun bathing, which is also a play space for children.
As a base, “Alla Torretta” offers the possibility of organising sports like horseback riding, mountain biking, trekking, water skiing and paragliding accompanied by expert instructors from the area.

How to reach us


You can find us 1500 meters outside the center of Bellagio, in the neighborhood of "Visgnola", which is a strategic position for those who wish to visit the touristic center of Bellagio as well as the outskirts. These surrounding neighborhoods offer wonderful walks through the beautiful "Lariano" Triangle lake district which is encircled by mountains and immersed in glorious nature.
