The House
‘L’Arcissa’ is an old Lombard-style country house that was originally built in the 16th century.
It has been sensitively refurbished to combine the charm of its original design with modern facilities.

The Hill
The house is approached along two narrow hillside lanes, the ‘Costa’ and the ‘Sessic’. On reaching the house, you discover a timeless location filled with woodland scents and peaceful tranquility.
The house is surrounded by acres of woods and grassland. Among the woods are found beeches, chestnuts and maples. Many delicious fruits, herbs and nuts are scattered among the house’s gardens including apricots, blackcurrants, cherries, hazelnuts, jasmine, plums, vines and walnuts.

The Bed & Breakfast (B&B)
‘L’Arcissa’ offers 3 bedrooms complete with en-suite bathroom and separate entrances. All of the bedrooms overlook the gardens.
A continental breakfast is served in the dining room or in the garden, if the weather permits.

‘L’Arcissa’ also offers its own mixed fruits, eggs and produces homemade jams and wine.

A swimming pool is also available.

History of l’Arcissa

How to reach us


How to find us ‘L’Arcissa’ is strategically located between lake, mountain and city. Barely 7km from Lake Como, and only 45km from the fashion and history of Milan, and 30km from Lugano’s attractions. The house is easily accessible by public transport. The FNM train between Milan and Como stops 2km away while the C71 bus from Como stops at the foot of the hill. The nearest autostrada (highway) exit is Como Sud on the A9, 2km away. Directions From the A9 autostrada (Milano-Chiasso), come off at Como Sud and follow directions towards Varese. On arriving in Lucino, turn right uphill (onto Via Roma) at the first set of traffic lights (immediately after the Bennet shopping centre) and continue for 1km. Take a right hand turn onto Via Verdi, before turning left when you reach a gardening centre (“La siepe”) and proceed until you reach an unmarked car park, where you can leave your car.

Rates

Prices 30-40 euros per person per night, including breakfast. Prices are negotiable for families and longer stays. Prices to be agreed at the time of booking.
