Description


Abbadia lies on the eastern shores of Lake Como; it’s a typical
lake-side community, with its beaches and its quaint narrow
streets in the old part of town. In the village of Crebbio,
overlooking Abbadia, is “Il Portone” B&B. The house, typical of
the area, was tastefully restored at the beginning of 2001
keeping the attractiveness and warmth of a house from the past.

Our guests have a pleasant stay in this holiday flat which is
equipped with a sitting room/cooking area/sofa bed, a double
bedroom and a bathroom/shower/wc. In the sitting room there’s a
typical Lombard fireplace to put a glow into your evenings.

We like to pamper our guests with a rich hearty breakfast adding
a few local specialities, served in the sitting room or on the
terrace. Those who prefer it can get a quick “Italian” with a
cappuccino and croissant.

Tourism has started to take off quite recently here in Abbadia
and its surrounds, and it already offers a lot to the visitor.
Lake Como gives you the chance to get into aquatic sports, while
the valleys and mountains around us can satisfy the more
passionate outdoor types, with walking, trekking, climbing and
alpine skiing. Paragliding and horse riding are available close
by, while in upper Brianza or in Menaggio there are excellent
golf courses. Guests who prefer a more cultural form of tourism
can visit the beautiful old villas and gardens of the lake and
discover during walks austere medieval defensive towers and
serene romanic churches. In addition the nearby cities of
Bergamo, Como e Milano are inviting for long and interesting
visits.

numerous outlets in the area.

How to reach us


You’ll find it easy to get to us, not only with public transport ( there’re four buses a day from Crebbio to Lecco) but also by car or bike. If you’re stuck we can collect you at the station. The closest airports are the ones of Orio al Serio (Bergamo), Milano Linate and Milano Malpensa.
