Description



The house is in Oro, a quiet village on the the Wayfarer's Trail, an old way connecting Milano with the North, now discovered by modern walkers. It faces to the green balconies about 100 m. on the lake's shore and it has a splendid view of the lake and mountains. In the ancient house, recently restored respecting original forms and materials, quietness and silence reign.
Three bedrooms with bathroom reserved for guests. Sitting room, library and garden.

How to reach us


How to get Bellano Bellano is a little town on the east side of the Como's lake near Lecco, in Lombardia. If you come from the South (Milano, Bergamo, Como e Varese) you can reach Lecco by train (timetable) or by car. From Lecco you continue towards Bellano by the same train or by the highway SS 36. By car, you can take also the road near the lake's shore. If you come from the North (Valtellina, Svizzera) you must reach Colico by train or by car and you continue towards Bellano by the same train or highway SS 36. By car you can take also the road near the lake's shore. From Como, Bellagio, Menaggio, Colico e others villages you can arrive by boat (timetable). Varenna, 4 km from Bellano, is linked by ferryboat to Bellagio and Menaggio. How to get The Swallows's House o If you get Bellano by the road near the lake: take the road to Vendrogno at the North of the town. o If you come down from highway SS 36: after the level crossing, turn right, straight on across the town until road-fork to Vendrogno. At the fourth hairpin bend, turn left to Oro. Go on for 1 km. After the bridge park the car and take the stairs on the left. Look at the road sign. If you arrive by train or boat, phone and we will take you by car.
