Description


Colico, a village in the province of Lecco, has 6,260 inhabitants. It is located at the juncture of two important streets:
- The SS 36 by “Lake Como” and near the “Spluga Pass”, links Milan with “Lake Lario” and the “Valchiavenna”;
- The SS 38 goes directly to the “Stelvio Pass”;
The village is dominated by majestic “Monte Legnone” (2,609 meters). Colico is a holiday resort with many hotels and tourist activities and is very busy during the summertime. It also hosts the Italian Stage of the “Kitesurfing World Cup”.
At the foot of “Monte Legnone”, just 1 km from the lake, the BED & BREAKFAST “DA-DI”
offers you a holiday in a calm and peaceful oasis. The strategic position of the B&B lets you do a variety of sports: swimming, windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing, fishing, tennis, riding, trekking, climbing and mountain biking. (You can rent mountain bikes for adults and children directly at the B&B.) The B&B is also a perfect starting point for excursions and trips to the most famous historical and cultural locations.
The B&B “DA-DI”, recently renovated, is characterized by comfortable and welcoming rooms with balconies and a view of the lake, television, a garden with toys for the children and a barbecue for grilling in the open air.
It is the perfect place for a holiday filled with sport, fun or simply peace and relaxation.


SPORT ACTIVITIES IN COLICO AND ITS SURROUNDINGS

In Colico’s surrounding areas you can do several sports activities that put you directly in contact with nature.


WINDSURF and KITESURF at the School of Colico, which has 20 years experience.


HORSE CENTER: only a few minutes from Colico and located in the heart of nature on the bank of the River Adda.


MOUNTAIN BIKING: There are several bicycle routes as well as a few excursion routes.
Following is a list of the most important ones: Tour of Musso S. Maria Rezzonico, Tour of the Valley Albano, Super Bike at Giovo and at S. Jorio, Tour of the mountains of Garzeno, Tour of the Giovo, Tour of the Sasso Pelo, Tour on the mountains of Gravedona, Tour of the Domaso’s hamlets, Tour of the mountains of Vercana.

HOW CAN YOU REACH US? by car: main road 36, exit “Colico Piona” by train: take the Italian railway line "Milano/Lecco/Sondrio”(www.trenitalia.com) by plane:land at “Milano Malpensa” or “MilanoLinate” or at “Orio al Serio” (Bergamo) from the North: take the “Spluga Pass” on the border between Switzerland and Italy otherwise take the"Bernina Pass” or the “Stelvio Pass” or the “Maloja Pass” -from Colico: follow the road signs for Villatico, via Bassana n. 19
