CONTRADA LUNGA
The house that houses the B & B and building a manor built in
late '400 and has undergone extensions at the end of '500. In
Cadastre It's a Teresian from 1720 of the most 'ancient and
characteristics of the village of Linzanico. Is completely
restored in 2008 following a renovation of intervention seeking
to maintain the most 'original material as possible using new
materials and their green building.
ROOMS:
The three rooms, each a different size, host a maximum of 6
people. The internal architecture, while respecting the
original size of the house, is characterized by massive walls
that are whitewashed and by small niches: simple furnishings
that give the guest a cozy, familiar feeling.
Every room has a private bathroom and internet connection;
television and telephone are intentionally lacking...
THE KITCHEN
Breakfast is served in the kitchen where a single large table
allows all our guests to meet one another.
THE SURROUNDINGS
The hamlet of Linzanico, a town until its incorporation in the
town of Abbadia Lariana, is an agricultural area made up of
about a hundred houses. Situated on a terraced hillside facing
south, it is surrounded by spacious fields frequently cultivated
with olive trees. Its streets, open only to pedestrians,
underline the peace and quiet of this place.
Set on the western offshoots of the Grigne massif, from the
hamlet you set off directly on foot for short excursions with a
slight climb or for longer walks (the Viandante Trail) and more
demanding ones (Piani Resinelli- the high trail of the Grigne
Natural Park). At the same time, you are only a kilometer from
the waters of Lake Como and the Lido (beach) which offers all
facilities for summer tourism.
FACILITIES
All of the rooms have private bathrooms and include linens,
towels and internet connection.
LAUNDRY SERVICE
Laundry service is available upon request (at an extra charge).
NURSERY
Pushchairs, changing facilities, highchairs and everything
necessary for the comfort of your children is available.
ANIMALS
They are welcome!
PIC NIC:
for your daily excursion, ask for a picnic basket. A lunch of
fresh bread and typical products from the area, to enjoy in the
shade of an olive tree overlooking the lake....
NEEDLE and THREAD:
on the ground floor of the house (where the stable was once
located) you can take advantage of the useful tailoring service;
offering emergency repairs as well as an opportunity to brouse
through the creatively made original clothing.
PORTRAITS:
thanks to experience of 10 years of work, each guest will be
able to be “immortalized” with a photographic portrait that will
bear witness to his/her visit. A permanent exhibit can be seen
in the fireplace room. Who's next?

Breakfast: time to be agreed on upon arrival, from 7.00 to
9.30.

How to reach us


WHERE WE ARE By car: from Milan: from the Milan by-pass, take the Viale Zara - Monza – Lecco exit. At this point you will be on the SS 36 motorway. After coming to Lecco, without leaving the motorway, follow indications for Sondrio. Take the first exit after Lecco for Abbadia Lariana - Mandello del Lario -Varenna Ferry Boat. After passing through Abbadia Lariana you will see a sign for LINZANICO on your right.. Go up the road for 1 Km and you will see signs for our B & B. By plane: arriving at MILAN MALPENSA airport.. Upon exiting the arrivals terminal, take the blue "Malpensa Shuttle" bus to Milan's Central Station, buses run every 20 minutes from 07.00 to 21.00 arriving at MILAN LINATE airport.. Upon exiting the arrivals terminal, take the blue "Shuttle" bus to Milan's Central Station, buses run every 30 minutes from 07.00 to 19.00. By train: from Milan's Central Station, take a train with the final destination of SONDRIO or TIRANO to MANDELLO DEL LARIO.
